I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April women golden goose 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they cost?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
